Campaign Issues
Lower property taxes: Baltimore’s high property tax rate inhibits residential growth and unfairly punishes current residents for living in the city. Lower taxes will make Baltimore a more desirable place to live for all, stopping urban flight and attracting news residents, thus growing Baltimore’s tax base. Read more here.
Sell city owned properties: Abandoned homes are a cancer in our community and do not generate tax revenue for the city. We must mine this resource and remove current levels of red tape that prevent well-intentioned individuals from buying in the City. Read more here.
Zero tolerance for open-air drug markets: We must confront once and for all the scourge of drug dealing on our streets (AKA: “corner activity”). Not until all of our residents feel safe, can Baltimore reach its full potential. I support the Ed Norris Crime Plan.
Clean Streets: We must bring back pride and hope to our communities by removing the plague of dirt, trash, drug paraphernalia, and broken glass that we currently tolerate.
Education: Baltimore’s residents deserve a world-class education. Not until our schools perform as well as the best in the state can we be satisfied. Read more here.
